Ian got so much out of your  Charlie and the Chocolate Factory class, and because of that class I have a child willing to read.

We absolutely loved the Trumpet of the Swan workshop!  You have such a wonderful, sisterly vibe between you . . .  We loved the author background stories as well as all of the images you use to illustrate what you are teaching. You never sound like you are lecturing; instead it feels like you are here with us, having a good discussion, laughing and enjoying the time together. We liked the pacing, the intermingling of teaching and activities, the times you have us pause to discuss something, your sense of humor, and, of course, the fun projects, worksheets, and snacks.

My 9-year-old daughter not only had a good time, but she also had those "aha" moments when you'd point out some interesting author's technique or theme, and already she is transferring what she has learned to other books she is reading and the stories she is writing.

. . a fabulous way to study  A Little Princess, and much more interesting, engaging, and memorable than just using vocabulary or review questions! [My daughter] loved collecting prop items to make a special display on our bookshelf, and enjoyed the art projects greatly. We made the frosted cakes from the “Frustrated Banquet” which our whole family was happy to eat, and overall we had a wonderful time together with this study. Thank you!

I don't know how you do it! Today's class was unbelievable!  There was a surprise at every turn and so much about literature to learn! I am so thankful for your creativity and your passion for teaching. I cannot fathom how you put all of that together for the price that you did.

James loved the workshop with you and as soon as he finished, he helped his sister find all her own belongings so she too could be like Louis. They then spent the remainder of the day pretending to be Louis. They had so much fun! Thank you for bringing these beautiful books to life. We loved reading this one by E.B White. It made us smile and laugh so many times.

My kids both said unequivocally: “I want to do that again.” I was worried that it might be a little too schooly for my PTSD (post-traumatic school disorder) kids–sitting still, worksheets–but you guys clearly made it fun and engaging.  Thank you for that. They spent the rest of the day writing and drawing on their [Anne of Green Gables  handmade] slates. ..If you could keep my tree-climbing, non-writing, head-in-the-clouds little guy interested, you must be doing something right.

Thank you for offering such a rich experience! I offered [my son] the option of creating a LitWits type experience from the books we are reading together. He came up to me a few days later and said, “Mom, it’s just that I really like the whole LitWits experience. I like listening to them explain things. I like tasting the book and making art and experiencing the book all over again. PLEASE? I really want to do ALL the books they have listed with them!” How could I say no?
